Key Characteristics of an Avanti Franchisee
When recruiting we all know what characteristics we look for in staff and the dynamic we want to create within our team by the personalities we introduce, but when it comes to franchising, what are the key traits that we look for in our franchisees?
As core qualities, we consider the following traits to be highly valued in our franchisees;
Approachability: Not all accountants are born grey and Avanti accountants break the mould with their friendly colourful jargon free approach. Our 15-point culture statement is at the core of our company, and is at the centre of all we do. Are you looking to break the mould and make a real difference to the businesses you work with instead of simply crunching the numbers? We provide proactive support and advice to our clients, Avanti are so much more than the accountant to our clients.
Excellent judgement: It goes without saying that as an accountant you should possess excellent judgement skills. Working from a proven model, doesn’t mean that you can’t take calculated risks. The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd are here to support you and provide you with all the tools you need for success, but we also want you to seek out opportunities and use the tools combined with your own judgement to grow your business.
Communication: All day, every day we communicate with our clients, with each other, with our market using multiple media platforms. We strive to keep clients and each other informed and up to date with real time information and the full picture of what is happening. Networking is a key benefit to an Avanti Tax Accountants franchise, where you will be able to network among your own group every month, spreading the Avanti message and building your business. To support you, we need you to be willing to tell us if anything goes wrong.
Humility: The above brings us on to the importance of being able to ask for help. We provide a fully proven system that has been tried, tested and developed through our own experiences and changing needs as we have grown. We can provide you with all the help you need to be a successful franchisee, but we need you to ask. You’ll also need to be able to delegate, you’re not an employee, you are a Franchisee therefore you are the boss! You need to feel comfortable that through the training you receive you are able to pass the skills required to get the job done on to your team.
Ethics: As an accountant you will be aware of professional ethics, but it’s important to us that you are ethical in how you run your business daily. You should ensure that communication with clients and suppliers is clear and not shrouded in technical jargon to confuse them. You should maintain the appropriate records and retain relevant information where necessary for the reference of yourself and your clients. You should buy fully into the ethics of The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd and work closely with the Franchisor to ensure that you promote them actively.
Personal and Professional Development: Continued Professional Development (CPD) is a standard requirement of all staff and franchisees of The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd. By becoming an Avanti Franchisee, you are provided with a CPD record and the tools to update your record. Are you keen to be a leader in your field? We anticipate that successful franchisees will display enthusiasm for maintaining their CPD and will proactively seek opportunities to improve and develop themselves.
It’s so much more than being a leader, and knowing the business model – it is that extra quality that all of our team have at Head-Office that we are seeking in our franchisees, it’s bringing all of the qualities together in one package with that competitive edge that drives us at The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd to be the best at what we do.
