Choosing The Right Territory Can Be Your Route To Franchise Success

When considering a franchise opportunity, the territory that you choose can often be the make or break of your business. You need the right type and number of potential clients, or you will not have a viable business. At The Avanti Group Franchise (UK) Ltd we use multiple data sets to map our territory areas, using the most up to date data ensures that we can give our franchisees the best possible start.

A territory is a specified area by postcode and number of businesses and / or individuals. We only offer one accountancy and one bookkeeping franchise in each territory area.  How the territory is defined, and any exclusivity offered will have a defining impact on your business.

As a franchisor, we have gone to great effort to ensure that our territories are mapped, ensuring that our franchisees have an equal opportunity where possible. Using data from Companies House, The Census and Accountancy telemarketing specialists we provide a territory area with no less than 4,000 businesses, and aim to ensure that you have a demographic that will meet your needs as a working practice. We use third party data, but all mapping is done at head office. Our territories show the territory map, the breakdown by number of employees to business, the social and gender demographics to form a complete picture of your chosen area. So when we discuss your territory with you, we really know and understand what we are looking at and how we can help you to market it to your potential client base.

Location, Location, Location – ultimately a territory is just that – a location, but accessibility needn’t be the consideration that will tip the scales with an Avanti Franchise. Instead of viewing the boundary of a territory as a limitation, see the benefits that it can provide. Your marketing for example can be tailored to the demographic within your territory area, instead of attempting an overarching marketing campaign that would suit London based businesses, but not Northern industrial territories. Of course, alongside targeted marketing there will still be national brand awareness campaigns.
